Whew

All is well... sorry for no posts over the weekend.

Softball was a blast... my thighs were ON FIRE the next day (or two) because they had me play catcher, but it was a great time and I did better than I thought I would. My left hand was really bruised from catching a few fast-moving balls, but I figure I'd rather have a bruised hand from catching the ball than a bruised ego from not catching the ball. :)  I'm excited for our next game! (Thursday night).

Saturday we spent the day outside enjoying the gorgeous weather... complete with picnic dinner at the playground with some friends. The kids had a lot of fun and so did I. It was much needed after a very difficult week "at work"... I can't go into details right now, but I was very emotionally exhausted.

Josh FINALLY got home late late Saturday night, and we enjoyed a peaceful Sunday at church and relaxing at home, and now the kids are in their final week of school. Marcus and Belane finished preschool today and they were so dang cute. They really grew up a lot this year (sniff sniff).

The big kids have a half day on Thursday and that is their last day. We have Josh's brother's wedding on Saturday, and then my Dad's wedding in NY that we're leaving for in just two weeks. Lots going on!!  Lots of fun stuff though, and the kids are really excited. We're definitely looking forward to summer.

And just for fun, here are two random pictures of my sweet baby boy (who LOVES to get his picture taken!) I love the picture of him sleeping in the car seat.  More soon!

What you should know about HIV

  • - HIV can NOT be spread through casual/household contact. HIV is not spread through hugging, kissing, shaking hands, sharing toys, sneezing, coughing, sharing food, sharing drinks, bathing, swimming or any other casual way. It has been proven that HIV and AIDS can only be spread through sexual contact, birth, breastfeeding and blood to blood contact (such as sharing needles).
  • - HIV is now considered a chronic but manageable disease. With treatment, people who are HIV+ can live indefinitely without developing AIDS and can live long and full lives.
  • - People who are HIV+ deserve to be treated with love, respect, support and acceptance as all people do. If anyone wants more info on transmission, there is great info on the Center for Disease Control website at http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/resources/factsheets/transmission.htm
